Essex RFU is pleased to announce that Adventure Island, the UK’s No.1 Free Admission Theme Park is the latest sponsor of Essex Youth Rugby. Based either side of the pier in Southend, Adventure Island offers over 40 rides and attractions in one Park with up-to-the-minute rides, arcade games, sideshows and themed cafes and food outlets, to cater for everyone’s tastes.The security and safety of visitors is of paramount importance to Adventure Island. As part of the sponsorship of Essex RFU, Adventure Island is offering a special discount on Supersaver Wristbands and Tiny Tots Wristbands to Essex RFU members. Supersaver Wristbands allow riders to go on all the 31 rides as many times as they like before closing time and cost £18 at peak times. Tiny Tots Wristbands cover the 18 smaller rides and normally cost £12 at peak times. Under the sponsorship arranged with Essex RFU, all Essex RFU members, their family and friends and associated businesses pay only £7.50 for Supersaver Wristbands and £5.50 for Tiny Tots Wristbands.
ORDERING WRISTBANDSIt is not possible for Club members to order directly from Adventure Island at the special discount prices offered to Essex RFU members. Your Club should appoint a Club Co-ordinator to advertise the sponsorship in the Clubhouse, take orders and receive cash and cheques and bank them into an approved Club bank account. The Club Co-ordinator then completes a Booking Form and sends it with one cheque payable to Adventure Island. The minimum number of Supersaver Wristbands for each order is 20. Any number of orders can be made each year. So Essex RFU members can visit the Park any number of times each year at the discount prices.
WRISTBANDS AND VOUCHERSOn receipt of an order from a Club Co-ordinator, Adventure Island will issue Vouchers to the Club Co-ordinator who then distributes the Vouchers to Club members. The Vouchers can be exchanged for Wristbands at the Adventure Island Ticket Booths whenever Club members wish to visit the Park. If you visit as one group in Club shirts, there are opportunities for photos for publicity which you can use in your local press.
SOME HELPFUL NOTES ON ORDERING WRISTBANDSHeight restrictions apply on all rides for Health and Safety reasons. Supersaver Wristbands give unlimited rides on all 31 rides and are the best buy for riders over 1 metre tall. Over 1.2 metres tall, a rider can go on all the rides unaccompanied. Between 1 metre and 1.2 metres, the rider cannot go on six of the big rides but can go on the other seven big rides, e.g the roller coasters and water rides and all 18 Tiny Tots rides. But the rider must be accompanied by a paying adult or responsible person over the age of 14 on the seven big rides. Under 1 metre tall, a Tiny Tots Wristband is right. An accompanying adult goes free on the Tiny Tots rides. Wristbands do not cover the Dodgems, A1 Go-karting, Adventure Golf and other Pay as You Play attractions. PROMOTING ESSEX RFU AND FUND RAISING In addition to the discount prices, Adventure Island will pay an additional Bonus of 50p sponsorship to each Club in respect of each Supersaver Wristbands sold. This BONUS will be paid every six months to Essex RFU who will then distribute the monies to the Clubs based on the number of Supersaver Wristband sold by each Club. The Essex RFU sponsorship by Adventure Island gives value for money discounts for Essex RFU members to have fun at the Park, as families or in groups. There is the opportunity to create links with local businesses and to obtain new members and obtain sponsorship and also raise funds for your Club.
