Another busy day in Essex for youth rugby when over 700 children in the age groups U10, U11 and U12 took part in the Essex County RFU Mini Midi Festival at Westcliff RFC on Sunday 13th March.  Watched by an equally large crown of parents and supporters, play was spread over 12 pitches which took up the whole of the playing area at the club.  With a great Bar-B Q, refreshments and tents all over the grounds the place was "packed".  It also provided some of the best of Essex Rugby with for the first time Wideford Lodge school also entering a team at all age groups.

The shields, trophies and medals were presented by Essex President Elect Mike Drinkwater and CBRDP Chairman Peter Howard.  Essex Mini Midi Chairman Andy Thorne and Assistant Manager Dean Martin thanked all those present for an excellent days rugby and gave a vote of thanks to the officials of Westcliff RFC for their dedication and hard work in organising the days events.

On April the 3rd the Essex Youth Festival Roadshow moves to Barking where it is the turn of the U13's to take part in their age group festival.
