UNDER 17 (2006/7 season)
For those currently representing Essex at Under18 levels, they will not initially be required to trail at stage 1.
Stage 1 trials are for all players who have not previously represented the County or who have improved and are nominated by their school or club coach. Individuals will not be accepted unless exceptional circumstances exist.
Stage 2 trails begin with those selected from stage 1 trials coming together with the known group as described above.
No development side runs at U17 or U18 ages so a squad of 28/30 are selected and will train as per the programme.
Please note that the qualifying date of birth is 1st January of the current season.

Additional training sessions to those shown above will be arranged; these additional sessions will normally be held on the Monday evening before a fixture so that final team preparations and selection can be made. |

UNDER 18 (2007/8 season)
This applies to all players who are born in 1990 (or after in exceptional circumstances).
Stage 1 trials are for all players who have not previously represented the County or who have improved and are nominated by their school or club coach. Individuals will not be accepted unless exceptional circumstances exist.
Stage 2 selection will begins at a residential weekend where those selected at stage 1 are joined by those who represented the County at U17 the previous year and are eligible through date of birth (1990).
