Selection weekend
A residential weekend, to be held at Felstead School. The top 34 players can come together and receive coaching from Academy and National League Coaches. Essex U18 coaching staff will have the opportunity to view the players over the weekend will make a final selection of 28 players
SELECTION LETTERS AND A CODE OF CONDUCT WILL BE SENT OUT to those players selected to represent the County this season.

Notes:
Effective Date for u18's is the 1st January.
The above programme has been devised to ensure that players selected to play for the Essex County U18 XV from our clubs and schools are well prepared and best able to meet the challenges of representative rugby at all levels. The U18's fixtures in November will be used by the London and SE Region to select the players who will go forward to the Regional matches and eventual selection for the England Squads
There will be one squad. For youth players who are not already in the squad coaches are invited to contact the manager with their nominations. Coaches are reminded that only players who they feel will meet the requirements and standards excepted of a County/Regional representative should be nominated.

All nominated players will be expected to attend Team Training and Squad Sessions.All fixtures will involve both squads either played back to back or at same time to suit.
Venues are only projected. It may well be that evening sessions could be held at Sports Colleges or similar venues if facilities allow.
